Walk with care

Learnings from AY14/15 Sem 2
  • Ever since the demise of my Thai aunt in December 2014, God has dropped a seed of burden in my heart in regards to my extended family. He revealed to me this blind spot I have in regards to this circle of influence, and hence convicted me to resume my weekly visits at my grandma's after at least 6 years.

Each week, I always ask Him, "How am I going to bring my grandma closer to you?" However, God showed up big time each week I set aside time to visit my maternal grandma. He assured me that He honours my obedience, and so long as I play my part (no matter how small), He will do the rest. Indeed, He will be with me wherever I go to make disciples.
  • Through NYC: On the Outside Camp, God revealed to me some areas that I need to grow in. Eg. anxiety, being worrisome, as a result of not feeling confident. However it all boils down to not fully trusting God.
  • Was exposed to the basics of entrepreneurship for the first time through a module in school and realised how strikingly similar it is to design - both disciplines simply revolve around finding a problem in society and thinking of creative ways to solve them.

This summer,
  1. To learn: Finish reading 2-3 books this holiday (Screwtape Letters + 1/2 others)
  2. To bless: Finish all design requests for friends (at least 9, oh dear!)
  3. To fellowship: Invest more time with the LG girls :) (One-on-one fellowships, small groups, LG outings)
  4. To sow: Be faithful in visiting, blessing, praying and building relationships with my grandma each week
  5. To steward: Sleep at healthier hours (11pm) please...
  6. To steward: Exercise regularly - Morning runs every Mon and Wed
  7. Work a part-time job in July (hmm).
