Birthday Thanksgivings

This post is a shout out to all the lovely people God has placed in my life, who have so graciously chosen to shower me with love, time, gifts and much needed prayers throughout the entire past 2 weeks even before and after my birthday itself. Jesus, I'm spoiled.

  1. the lovely and creative ADM community for surprise-ception-ing me during Monday's gathering 2 weeks ago, to surprise celebrate my birthday along with Tianli's when I was the supposed main planner for her birthday celebration. goodness! didn't even know what was going on when the waitress put two plates of different cake slices on our table, till she deliberately placed one in front of me. !_!
  2. Pete for anchoring the birthday gift of the beautiful Nudebook sketchbook, as well as hand sewing everyone's birthday messages + printing my sketches in blown up sizes in the front! and everyone else, for their words + messages of blessings and affirmation, and prayer
  3. my entire family, for taking time off 2 Fridays ago to spend time together in a cosy little izakaya restaurant to celebrate my 20th. Meiyu for buying a fantastic chocolate cake (I must give that shop at least one visit!), and eldest bro & sis-in-law for buying very thoughtful gifts including a medium sized watercolour sketchbook which does not look cheap....
  4. Joel for the very thoughtfully decorated birthday card! Always appreciate it when you make the effort to write birthday cards for people every year! Pray too that you will conquer more with God this year!
  5. my cousin Jack for writing a card for me as well, it was truly unexpected! short but sweet, thanks bro!
  6. birthday dinner with Lixin last Monday @ IKEA Queenstown, which ended up with a pretty startling surprise from the folks of NYC 6 in one showroom after dinner, namely Eileen, Sabby and Jingshun! most unexpected b'day surprise in my life ever HAHA! thank you guys sooo much for taking time to come down just to scare me hahahaha, especially you two Eastie girls! :) thank you Sabrina and Eileen for helping to do the birthday card and separate papers! and Eileen for trying out painting for the first time for them! :D
  7. thank you Lixin for spending the birthday evening w me despite having had a long day of work in internship! and for buying a pretty pink gerbera, an entire set of new Micron markers (!!), and a v delish chocolate crust cake! :))))))) i know you know I always appreciate you a lot la, and i still don't comprehend why God must let me show you the ugliest sides of myself within such a short time, but aiya hahahahahahahaha thank you for your forbearance and friendship ♥
  8. thank you Hang for the v chill time of dinner, sharing, confiding, advising, lepaking, indulging in Awfully Chocolate's ice-cream and becoming awfully full and nauseous from it (:/), and treating me to dimsum and the chocolate ice-cream! always, always glad to have you in my life, and thankful that God allowed our friendship to deepen some time ago last year! :)
  9. thank you Zuoen, Joel, Peida, Darren and Yibin for surprise-celebrating my birthday on Thursday as well, with a delicious cake, gosh another v unexpected and startling surprise! and am rly touched that you guys bought tickets for me for the O.P.E.N arts event, wah I didn't even know there was such an event actually!!! and of course, thanks for the birthday prayer, am deeply glad we are still able to keep in contact with one another, spur one another on, and build one another up, as an SALG, even when the physical SALG status has long dissolved! may God continue to be the anchor of our lives, as well as in our friendships!
Am certain that this week will be one of my favourite, if not favourite week of the year because of all the tangible testimonies of love God has showered in my daily life, NOT forgetting all the miraculous works of love He has shown in conference in the weekend as well! Simply ah-may-zing, my Daddy God!

May You always remind me to never forget all this goodness You have graced me in this life that is yielded to Your will!
